"FYRTÅRNET"

"FYRTÅRNET" (The lighthouse) is a new residential complex in the historical surroundings on Amerika Plads in Copenhagen. In addition to the tall tower, the complex consists of a six-story building with a common roof terrace. Both the tower and its neighbor are covered with expanses of dark-gray slate.

Sluseholmen, CPH

"Sluseholmen" is a new aerea in Copenhagen inspired by Dutch building tradition. The idea for a canal district on Sluseholmen originated with the Dutch architect Sjoerd Soeters, who used his experiences from Java Island, a residential district built on an artificial island in Amsterdam. And the Dutch inspiration is obvious. Newly dug canals form the basic structure. The new canal district is built on eight artificial islands with a pattern of continuous blocks with sheltered courtyards.
